Finals week is finally over! Can I get a hallelujah?! After taking my last final (which was for accounting, ugh), my friends and I decided we needed to celebrate with a foodie adventure in Westminster. We all finished our classes around noon and headed to our first stop: Roasting Water. This little boba place was located somewhat discreetly and wasn’t busy at all which was perfect. After some serious debating, I decided to go with the strawberry-lychee smoothie with strawberry bits, and Caitlin and Jess got a mango smoothie with mango bits. One of them was actually free because they accidentally put ice in the first one when they weren’t supposed to, but it worked out fine for us! Also, I was trying to get a cute picture of me holding my pretty, smoothie-filled glass bottle, but ended up just getting a cool picture of my hair instead… Oops.

Then, after some Yelping, we discovered that the new specialty doughnut shop, U Jelly, was super close by, so of course we had to stop by there, too. And it was definitely worth it. All of the doughnuts looked amazing and they were offering the best flavors. Even the owners couldn’t pick a favorite! They were also having a deal where if you buy five, you get one free. Obviously, we got six doughnuts. We ended up getting Cookies n Creme, Vietnamese Coffee, Baymax Pandan, S’mores, Thai Tea, and another Cookies n Creme since they were fresh out of the oven. And quite honestly, I think these were some of the best doughnuts I’ve ever had. Not sure if it’s because of the unique and cute flavors, or just because I wanted to believe they were as tasty as they look…

For our last stop (this had honestly turned into a sugar rush adventure), we went to the place that we actually came for, Eiswelt Gelato. This place is known for turning their signature gelato flavors into cute animals like pigs, bears, and dogs. In other words, they make totally insta-worthy ice cream cones. After sampling a few of their flavors, we all decided which animals we wanted, and more specifically which flavors we wanted for the head and ears. That’s the most important part, right? As soon as our bears and pigs were created, we got right to taking a million pictures. I mean, that was really what we came for and I definitely enjoyed posting about our super cute gelato animals all over my social media platforms. The gelato flavors themselves weren’t that amazing, but it’s definitely still a cute place to try at least once. Our sweets foodie adventure was a complete success, as splurging on sweets in adorable places was the perfect way to end finals week and hopefully sets the tone for how the rest of my spring break will be, too!
